Para entender el Islam

El «fundamentalismo» es un término proveniente del corazón de la religión cristiana. Significa fe que se obtiene por la palabra de la Biblia. Ser un Cristiano Fundamentalista, o seguidor de la Biblia, no significa ir por todos lados asesinando personas. El fundamentalismo islámico no existe tampoco. Es sólo Islam y punto. Más bien la pregunta que nos deberíamos hacer es cómo interpretamos el libro del Corán.
Vemos repentinamente que los más importantes voceros e intérpretes del Islam son políticos de Occidente. Ellos conocen más que todos los oradores de las mezquitas, esos que gesticulan horribles sermones en contra de todo lo que sea judío o cristiano. Los políticos occidentales identifican un Islam bueno y un Islam malo, sabiendo inclusive hallar las diferencias existentes entre ambos. Pero existe un problema, ninguno de estos intérpretes occidentales sabe leer una palabra en árabe.

El Idioma del Islam. Como se ve, mucho es lo que se oculta tras el lenguaje de lo políticamente correcto, de hecho se ha perdido la verdad. Por ejemplo, cuando en occidente hablamos sobre el Islam, tratamos de utilizar nuestro idioma y aplicar nuestra terminología. Hablamos del Islam en términos de democracia, fundamentalismo, parlamentarismo y toda clase de términos tomados directamente de nuestro léxico. Mi profesor, uno de los principales orientalistas en el mundo, dice que hacer esto equivale a un reportero tratando de escribir una nota sobre un partido de críquet usando términos del béisbol. No se puede utilizar para una cultura o civilización el lenguaje de otra. Para el Islam, usted tiene que utilizar el idioma del Islam.

Principios del Islam. Permítaseme explicar los principios que rigen la religión del Islam. Por supuesto, todo musulmán reconoce el hecho de que hay sólo un Dios. Pero esto no es suficiente. Un musulmán reconoce no sólo el hecho de que hay un Dios, sino que Mahoma es su profeta. Sin estos fundamentos de la religión, no se es musulmán. Pero por sobre todo, el Islam es una civilización. Es una religión que primero y antes que nada establece un sistema legal exclusivo que sumerge individuos, sociedad y pueblos con reglas de conducta. Si usted es musulmán entonces debe comportarse según las reglas del Islam, las cuales son establecidas en el libro del Corán y difieren notablemente de las enseñanzas contenidas en la Biblia.

La Biblia. Expliquemos las diferencias: Desde el punto de vista de los eruditos y estudiosos, la Biblia relata el nacimiento del espíritu de una nación en un largo período de tiempo. Pero más importante aún, la Biblia conduce a la salvación, y lo hace de dos maneras. El judaísmo conduce a la salvación nacional – no solamente la nación queriendo tener un estado, sino una nación deseosa de servir a Dios. Esta es la idea que se encuentra detrás del relato bíblico hebreo. El Nuevo Testamento, que se nutre de la Biblia Hebrea, lleva igualmente a la salvación, pero personal. Luego, tenemos dos clasificaciones de salvación, las cuales con frecuencia se unen o yuxtaponen. La palabra clave es salvación y ésto significa que todo individuo es guardado por Dios Mismo quien lo guía a la salvación por medio de Su palabra. Es la idea contenida en la Biblia, ya sea que nos refiramos al Antiguo o Nuevo Testamento. Todas las leyes en el texto bíblico, hasta las más pequeñas, apuntan en realidad hacia este hecho de la salvación. Otro punto sobresaliente de la Biblia es la idea de que el hombre fue creado a imagen y semejanza de Dios. Esto intuye que usted no anda por ahí destruyendo la imagen Divina. Por supuesto, muchas personas toman las reglas de la Biblia para cambiarlas por completo. La historia es testigo de las masacres hechas en el nombre de Dios y de Jesús. No obstante, tanto el Judaísmo como la religión Cristiana hablan de honrar la imagen de Dios y sobre la esperanza de salvación, siendo éstos sus dos fundamentos básicos.

La Esencia del Islam. Veamos ahora la esencia del Islam. El Islam nace con la idea que debe gobernarse al mundo. Establezcamos un contraste entre las tres religiones. El Judaísmo habla de la salvación de un pueblo – simplemente que al final de la historia, cuando el mundo sea un mejor lugar para vivir, Israel como nación habitará en su propia tierra, gobernado por su propio rey y sirviendo a D’os. Por su lado el Cristianismo plantea la idea de que todos los habitantes del mundo pueden salvarse de sus pecados. El Islam por su parte habla sobre gobernar al mundo. En este momento podría hacer una cita directa en árabe de lo que dice el Islam, pero este no es el objetivo, así que lo haré en inglés, dice así: «Alá envió a Mahoma con la religión verdadera para gobernar sobre todas las religiones». La idea, entonces, no es que todo el mundo se convierta en musulmán, sino que el mundo entero se someta a la autoridad y dominio del Islam. En el año 634 DC, al establecerse el imperio Islámico, en siete años – 640 DC – se crea el centro del imperio. Se tomaron leyes y normas directamente del Corán y de la tradición atribuídas al profeta Mahoma, para crear un sistema jurídico o legal. Tanto judíos como cristianos podrían convivir bajo el régimen Islámico con la condición de cancelar un impuesto comunitario y aceptar la superioridad Islámica. Obviamente, los judíos y cristianos bajo el Islam fueron humillados y sigue siendo hoy así.

Mahoma Sostiene que Todo Profeta Bíblico es Musulmán. Mahoma reconoció la existencia, antes de él, de los profetas de la Biblia. Sin embargo, también Mahoma dijo que todos estos profetas eran musulmanes. Abraham era musulmán. De hecho, el mismo Adán fue el primero de ellos. Igualmente Isaac, Jacob, David, Salomón, Moisés y Jesús fueron musulmanes y todos sus escritos son similares al Corán. En conclusión, debido a que la totalidad de sus héroes fueron musulmanes la historia mundial es en realidad la historia del Islam. De la misma forma, los musulmanes han aceptado el hecho que los profetas bíblicos traen consigo algún tipo de revelación. Según ellos Moisés, trajo el Taurat, que equivale a la Torah, y Jesús trajo el Ingeel, que equivale al Evangelio – y se conoce como Nuevo Testamento. La Biblia vs. el Corán. Luego, ¿porqué la Biblia no se parece en nada al libro del Corán? Mahoma explica que tanto judíos como cristianos falsificaron los libros. Si los judíos y cristianos no hubieran falsificado y cambiado sus escritos, la Biblia sería idéntica al Corán. Sin embargo, debido a que cristianos y judíos poseen algo de la verdad y revelación, el Islam concede no destruirlos (por ahora) en una guerra. Pero las leyes islámicas son muy claras – los judíos y los cristianos no tienen derechos a existir independiente. Pueden vivir bajo la norma del Islam que se les proporcione sometiéndose a las reglas promulgadas especialmente para ellos por el mismo Islam.

El Dominio Islámico y la Yijad. ¿Qué sucede si los judíos o los cristianos no desean vivir bajo las reglas del Islam? Entonces sencillamente el sistema islámico tiene que luchar contra ellos. A esta lucha se le llama Jihad.  Jihad quiere decir guerra contra aquellos que no están dispuestos a aceptar el dominio superior islámico. Sean judíos, cristianos, politeístas o de cualquier religión. Esto es Yijad como no tenemos tantos politeístas, al menos no en Medio Oriente – la guerra se centra principalmente en judíos y cristianos. Hace poco, leí un panfleto distribuido por Osama bin Laden. En él se hace un llamado a Jihad contra el principal líder del mundo cristiano: los Estados Unidos. No porque los norteamericanos sean aliados de Israel, sino por haber mancillado con sus mugrientos pies la tierra sagrada de Arabia. Hay estadounidenses donde los no-cristianos no deberían estar. En el panfleto no se hace una sola referencia a Israel. Sólo habla de la profanación hecha por los Estados Unidos al hogar del profeta Mahoma.

Las Dos Casas. El Corán percibe al mundo dividido en dos – una parte, sometida en el presente al dominio del Islam y otra parte a someterse supuestamente en un futuro. En el Islam hay muy clara separación del planeta. Cada nuevo estudiante del Islamismo lo sabe. El mundo es considerado Dar al-Islam (casa del Islam) – es decir, el lugar donde el Islam gobierna – y el resto del mundo se denomina Dar al-Harb – es decir, casa de la guerra. El Islam no lo llama «casa de los no-musulmanes», sino que lo califica como «casa de la guerra». Es la casa de la guerra la que será conquistada al final de los tiempos. El mundo continuará siendo casa de la guerra hasta que se someta al total dominio y soberanía del Islam. Así dice la norma, pero ¿porqué? Sencillamente, por que así lo declara Alá en el Corán. Alá ha enviado su profeta Mahoma y la religión verdadera para que la verdad triunfe y someta al resto de las demás religiones.

La Ley Islámica. Dentro de la visión del Islam sobre este mundo existen igualmente estrictas normas que rigen la vida común de los mismos musulmanes. Básicamente en el Islam no existen diferencias entre sus escuelas legales. Se pueden observar no obstante cuatro corrientes o facciones dentro del Islamismo en lo relativo al minucioso detalle de las leyes. En todo el mundo las naciones islámicas siempre han favorecido alguna de estas escuelas o corrientes. La escuela de leyes islámica más rigurosa se llama Hanbali, y su origen proviene principalmente de Arabia Saudita. En la escuela Hanbali no hay sitio para juegos ni coqueteo con las palabras. Si el Corán habla de guerra, entonces significa guerra sencillamente. Por siglos el Islam se ha caracterizado por perspectivas e interpretaciones diferentes. Gente muy valiosa atraída por las enseñanzas del Islamismo ha querido entender las cosas de manera diferente. Incluso se ha intentado extraer tradicionalismos de boca de los profetas con el fin de que mujeres y niños no sufran o mueran como consecuencia de la guerra. Existen así mismo tendencias mucho más liberales, pero no debemos olvidar que la corriente Hanbali es la más estricta siendo hoy por hoy la escuela que mayoritariamente se encuentra detrás de los actos terroristas en el mundo.. Podemos hacer referencia a otras escuelas de leyes Islámicas, pero al hablar de la lucha contra los judíos o los Estados Unidos, es siempre la escuela de Hanbali la que resalta, se sigue y obedece.

Tierras e Islam. La civilización del Islam creó una importante y fundamental regla en relación con la tierra y es que ningún territorio sometido al dominio islámico podrá alguna vez ser des-islamizado. Si el enemigo (no-musulmán) logra conquistar el territorio dominado antes por el Islam, éste se considerará siempre propiedad del Islam. De ahí que cada vez que se haga referencia al conflicto árabe-israelí, se escuche la palabra – territorios, territorios y más territorios.. El conflicto árabe-israelí encierra otros aspectos, pero el tema de la tierra es clave. El Islamismo no sólo ve la civilización cristiana como un adversario religioso, sino que la considera un tropiezo, un muro de contención, una molestia en el logro de las metas y fines islámicos. El propósito del Islam es servir de fuerza militar divina, es decir el ejército de Alá, donde cada musulmán se convierte en un soldado de este ejército. El musulmán que entrega su vida luchando por diseminar y extender la cultura islámica se constituye en un shaheed (mártir) no importando la forma que muere, porque – y he aquí lo importante – se trata de la guerra eterna entre dos civilizaciones. Luego, el conflicto bélico nunca termina. Es una guerra que está allí porque Alá lo diseñó así. El Islam debe someter, regir y gobernar. El conflicto  bélico nunca tiene fin.

Islam y Paz. En el Islam la paz únicamente puede existir dentro del mismo mundo Islámico; hay paz sólo entre musulmanes. Para los llamados no-musulmanes, es decir los enemigos del Islam, sólo puede haber una opción – un cese al fuego hasta que el guerrero de Alá adquiera mayor poder. Es una guerra que continúa hasta el final de los tiempos. La paz sólo puede venir si el lado Islámico obtiene la victoria. En esta guerra las civilizaciones disfrutan únicamente de períodos de suspensión del fuego. La medida tiene su origen en un importante precedente histórico, al cual hiciera casualmente referencia Yaser Arafat al hablar en Johannesburgo después de la firma de Israel de los Acuerdos de Oslo. Permítaseme recordar que aunque el documento de Oslo trata sobre paz – si lo lee usted ¡no lo creerá! Pensará que está leyendo algún relato de ciencia-ficción. Es decir, al leer los Acuerdos de Oslo no podrá creer que el documento fue firmado por los israelíes, gente tan versada y conocedora de la política y civilización Islámica. Semanas después de la firma de los Acuerdos de Oslo, Yaser Arafat habló en una mezquita en Johannesburgo pronunciando un discurso donde pedía disculpas: «¿Creen ustedes que firmé algo con los judíos contrario a lo que dicen las reglas de nuestro Islam?» (a propósito, tengo una copia grabada de este discurso de Arafat y lo he escuchado de su propia boca). Y continúa Arafat: «No es así. He hecho exactamente lo que el profeta Mahoma hizo». Cualquier cosa que se supone hizo el profeta Mahoma es un precedente. Lo que Arafat estaba diciendo era: «Recuerden el relato de Hudaybiya». En ese lugar el profeta hizo un acuerdo de paz por 10 años con la tribu de Kuraish. Pero a los dos años Mahoma entrenó a 10.000 soldados para marchar posteriormente sobre la Meca, ciudad de los Kuraishis. Obviamente, Mahoma siempre tenía algún pretexto. Así, en la jurisdicción Islámica, hay ahora un precedente legal que permite establecer acuerdos de paz por un máximo de 10 años. Pero, la Jihad (romper los acuerdos de «paz») debe reactivarse en el primer momento disponible. En Israel ha tomado más de 50 años a nuestro pueblo entender que no se puede discutir sobre paz (permanente) con los musulmanes. Al mundo occidental le tomará otros 50 años comprender que hoy se encuentra en estado de guerra con la pujante y fuerte civilización islámica. Debemos de una vez entender que al discutir sobre guerra o paz, no podemos enfocar el tema en términos belgas, franceses, ingleses o alemanes. Se habla de guerra o paz siempre en términos del Islam.

El Cese del fuego como Táctica. ¿Qué hace que el Islam acepte o no un alto al fuego? En realidad una sola cosa – un enemigo demasiado duro y fuerte. El cese a toda acción bélica constituye solo una medida táctica. A veces, el Islam tendrá que acordar un cese de las hostilidades en condiciones humillantes, y esto está permitido porque Mahoma también aceptó un cese al fuego en condiciones parecidas. Es lo que Arafat expresó con tanta vehemencia en Johannesburgo. Cuando los políticos de occidente escuchan estas cosas rápidamente responden: «¿De qué me habla? Usted vive en la Edad Media. Usted no entiende los mecanismos modernos de la política y la diplomacia». Pero ¿cuáles mecanismos? No hay sitio para mecanismos políticos donde rige y acciona el poder. Además, quiero decir que – todavía no hemos visto el sangriento final. En el momento que el poder radical musulmán se apropie y controle de armas de destrucción masiva – químicas, biológicas o atómicas – éstas serán empleadas. No tengo la menor duda de ello. Ahora que por fin sabemos que enfrentamos una guerra y que lo máximo que podemos obtener de ella son treguas transitorias, debemos preguntarnos cuál es el mayor componente en el cese al fuego árabe-israelí. Y es que el bando islámico es débil mientras el otro lado es fuerte. En los últimos 50 años, desde el establecimiento de su Estado, las relaciones entre israelíes y el mundo árabe se han basado exclusivamente en el poder disuasivo.

Cuando hay Islam, hay Guerra. Lo que tenemos hoy en Yugoslavia y en otros países es debido a que el Islam logró meterse en estos sitios. Dondequiera que se permita el acceso al Islam, habrá guerra. La guerra viene simplemente como consecuencia de la actitud misma de la civilización Islámica. ¿Porqué se asesina salvajemente a los pobres de Filipinas? ¿Qué es lo que realmente pasa entre Pakistán y la India?

Infiltración Islámica. Otro aspecto adicional que debemos recordar. El mundo Islámico no sólo se manifiesta abiertamente mediante una actitud bélica, sino que también batalla por infiltrarse. Una de las cosas que Occidente no entiende ni presta mayor atención es el hecho del tremendo crecimiento y desarrollo actual del poder Islámico dentro de las sociedades occidentales. Lo que sucedió en Norteamérica y en las Torres Gemelas hace poco no es algo que vino de afuera, sino de adentro. Y si Estado Unidos no despierta, un día de estos los norteamericanos se levantarán afectados – en el mismo país – con una guerra química o probablemente nuclear.

El Final de Los Tiempos. Es relevante entender cómo cada civilización percibe el final de los tiempos. Sea Cristianismo o Judaísmo, sabemos exactamente la visión de los tiempos del fin. En el Judaísmo, es referida por Isaías – paz entre las naciones, no sólo una, sino todas las naciones. La gente no tendrá necesidad de armas y la naturaleza misma sufrirá un cambio – un hermoso fin de días y el reino de Dios gobernando sobre la tierra. Paralelamente, el Cristianismo muestra en el libro de Apocalipsis el día que Satanás será destruido. Desaparecerá el poder de las tinieblas y del mal. Esta es la visión Cristiana. Veamos como el Islam concibe este tiempo. Hablo ahora como historiador.. Para el tiempo final, el Islam ve al mundo completamente musulmán, bajo dominio total Islámico. Victoria completa y final. No habrán cristianos, porque según las tradiciones Islámicas, los musulmanes ahora en el infierno deben ser reemplazados por otros, y los otros son los mismos cristianos. Tampoco existirán judíos, porque antes de la venida del fin de los tiempos, estallará una guerra contra los judíos donde todos serán destruidos. Citaré ahora el enfoque de la mismísima tradición Islámica, de los libros leídos por los niños musulmanes en las escuelas: Todos los judíos morirán. Huirán para ir a esconderse detrás de los árboles y de las piedras, y en ese día Alá dará bocas a las piedras y a los árboles para expresar: «Oh, Musulmán, acércate aquí, hay un judío detrás de mí, asesínalo». Esto es fundamental en el Islam. Sin lo anterior, el fin de los tiempos no puede llevarse a cabo.

¿Es Posible Poner Fin a Esta Danza Bélica? La pregunta que en Israel nos hacemos es qué pasará con nuestro país, ¿hay posibilidades de terminar con esta danza bélica? La respuesta es: «No. No, en un futuro inmediato». Lo que sí podemos hacer es buscar la situación donde podamos conseguir relativa calma por algunos años. Para el Islam, el establecimiento del Estado de Israel revirtió la historia del Islamismo. Primeramente, según el Islam el territorio islámico fue arrebatado por los judíos a los musulmanes. Ahora sabemos que para el Islam ceder un pequeño pedazo de tierra ni siquiera es aceptable. Así que todo aquel que piensa que la ciudad de Tel Aviv es un sitio seguro para vivir comete un gravísimo error. Tierras que alguna vez fueron sometidas al Islam, son ahora territorio de los no-musulmanes o infieles. Infieles, como los Judíos, son independientes del dominio Islámico y han logrado crear su propio estado independiente. Para el Islam esto constituye anatema. Y aquí lo peor, Israel, estado no-musulmán, gobierna libremente sobre los musulmanes. Para el Islamismo esto es completamente inconcebible. Soy de los que creen que la civilización de Occidente debe mantenerse en unidad y apoyarse mutuamente. Aunque  reconozco que no sé si esto será posible. Aun así, es Israel quien se encuentra en la línea frontal de batalla en la guerra entre civilizaciones. Israel necesita el apoyo de su civilización hermana, necesita la ayuda de Norteamérica y de Europa. Israel necesita la solidaridad de todo el mundo cristiano. De una cosa estoy seguro. El creyente cristiano puede ayudar y ver esta oportunidad como camino de salvación.
